An Important Message from Lowell Community Health Center:

We join with those in our community who reject racism and bigotry in all its forms. It must not be tolerated. Hate speech is more than just hurtful. It is damaging. It is marginalizing. And it is threatening. It has no place in our community. Hate speech and hate-induced actions can have long-lasting negative effects on the health and wellbeing of our BIPOC community. We remain committed to lifting up the voices of those who are continually confronted with racist language and behavior. This is the moment to link arms, face the truth, and stand together against the damaging speech and intolerance that we have heard this week.  #racismisapublichealthcrisis

State Rep. Vanna Howard, backed by 34 other legislators, sent a letter to Gov. Baker urging him to “immediately implement a targeted strategy to leverage our community health care organizations’ expertise and experience,” instead of his current strategy of prioritizing the state’s six mass vaccination sites.

Meet Fernando. One of our first patients to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Now, hope has a name. It is Fernando. Yesterday, we received a dose of something we all need these days: hope. We began providing the first doses of the COVID vaccine to our patients 75+. We are excited by the realization that more and more patients will be vaccinated every day!

The community of Lowell benefits tremendously by the great work being done at the Lowell CHC, and I count myself among the beneficiaries.
